Shakespeares Tempest I cacoethes the way Prospero speaks! Although I scorn his character, his way of public speaking is eloquently bitingwhether he is speaking lovingly to his daughter or abusively to Caliban, he annoys his saddle across beautifully. I tried with all my strength to settle whether I like Prospero further to no avail. I had a bad taste in my mouth from the graduation because I remembered a comment about the ambiguity of the Caliban linehow peradventure he did try to rape Miranda, but peradventure he didnt, so maybe Prospero was noble by enslaving Caliban but maybe he was tyrannical. Prospero definitely reminded me of The Duke (Measure for Measure).

Both played God-like roles, deceiving for a wakeless cause yet deceiving nonetheless. I also love how Ferdinand sees Miranda, walks up to her, and says, Hey baby, you single? A virgin? Attached?
